Lawson crushes it as a DM. Period. No need to read on, just sign up already. TLDR Pros list: - Caters to player's needs and RP beautifully - Rule of cool advocate, and encourages/rewards creativity - Lots of cool little touches that I feel like only DMs will appricate (like color themed tokens to match backstories) - Very knowledgeable about DnD, but is still willing to listen if someone challenges him. - He is willing to sit back and not speak for extended periods of time if the RP calls for it. (This in my opinion is a critical trait that I have seen missing in most DMs). I honestly do not have anything to complain about. I'm fairly new to the TTRPGs/VTTs scene (2 years as a DnD DM) and I have tried to find DMs online so I could get experience as a player to help me better understand my own players. As a forever DM I am CONSTANTLY critiquing every single aspect of the sessions I'm in. Lawson's sessions are the first I've played where I do the opposite. I take notes and steal ideas! He's got tons of experience and it shows. I am part of an ongoing campaign with him as DM and just finished a holiday 1-shot. I plan to keep joining more of his masterclasses...I mean 1-shots when I can.
