About me
My experience: As the stereotypical, annoying, early teen, mall goth brat I got my hands on a Vampire the Masquerade core book. That was waaaaay too early to make sense of most of the themes, nevertheless they left quite an impression. Two years ago I picked up an ongoing V5 game again, after a long break from the WoD. Additionally I'm currently invested in a Vaesen campaign. So far I've spent most of my time with Call of Cthulhu and Shadowrun, and of course the customary DnD. What I am looking for: Luckily the increase in popularity of online TTRPGs enables me to find remarkably interesting games and creative storylines. I like to take niche games for a spin and immerse myself for a bit in worlds from Afterlife: Wandering Souls to Dads on Mowers. Unfortunately my financial capacity for ongoing campaigns is spent, so for now I focus on oneshots and limited runs. My biggest cons: Even if I give my best to remember game mechanics and compensate my limitations, they are a continuous challenge for me and from time to time I'll need some assistance. If you perceive that as disrespectful, I'm not the right person for your table. Additionally I have difficulties with recalling words more than occasionally. Not just in English, my second language. I appreciate tables with patience for my inconsistent wordflow. The double edged sword: A number of people describe me as an "out of the box thinker" and some GMs love seemingly random creative problem solving and others preferer games to stay in familiar lanes. My biggest pros: Teamwork makes the dream work. I understand that the task is to tell a good story as a group and try to act accordingly. I'm enthusiastic for the epic wins and likewise the consequences that epic fails bring on. Last but not least: I am generally prepared and on time.

I really enjoy playing 'Dads on Mowers' with Jett. The title alone shows Jett's creativity, open mindset, desire for novelty and humor. The game has a good mix of fun, drama and very mild horror. I really enjoy playing a theme that's a bit more out there than classical fantasy. I'm impressed by Jett's ability to inspire cooperative storytelling between strangers. Jett is very well prepared with visual aids, thematic music and lovingly written recaps. Those made the experience truly exceptional for me. To have a short story when the campaign is over is pretty neat! I feel very welcome at Jett's table and I'm relieved to be treated with kindness and patience when I'm having trouble articulating myself. The game is definitely focused on humor but I enjoyed playfully rethinking concepts of masculinity and parenthood through the game. I'm not sure yet if I prefer weekly meetings for a limited campaign over biweekly meetings for a longer campaign, but I do have to say that it has it's advantages.
Playing with Tristan Ash has a measurable effect on my mood tracker. I've decided to play some cozy cames with him and I come out better for it every session. The atmosphere is fun and lighthearted, the players are involved and cool stoy bits can develop nicely. Storytelling comes before the game mechanics and I don't feel like I need to worry about not using the character's abilities to their best potential as a new player. This was the first time I've played a single player adventure and it was lots of fun and not awkward, like I worried about beforehand.
