Summy is a great DM. In the campaign I'm in, he uses some altered rules to make Barovia feel a lot more dangerous, and had a well-organized document for all the players to take a look at right away. The worldbuilding is already super fun, even from the limited amount we've seen of Barovia so far. He is able to balance being ready to explain the rules for newbies like me and one of our other players, while also not treating us any different from the experienced players, which is awesome. Would 100% recommend playing under Summy if you haven't already.

Even after only a couple of sessions with Lilac, I am 100% sure I'm gonna go all the way with this campaign. She is always down for rule of cool, sets the story fantastically, and is not afraid to hit us with consequences when we try something dumb. When I joined, she screened me, which gave me a lot of confidence in the quality of players I was gonna be with, and then we worked on integrating the character idea I had into the world we're playing in. Would absolutely recommend playing under Lilac to everyone that hasn't.

Been playing with Jay for about 6 weeks now, and it has been a blast. I started in the middle of the campaign, and he seamlessly wove me into the story and got me up to speed. He streams the games through Discord which is super cool, and is always down to explain rules and such which is super helpful since he runs 2014 and I was more familiar with 2024. Would definitely recommend Jay as a DM.

Taylor was a blast to play with! Helped me and the other newer players in the one-shot understand some of the nuances and interactions of certain abilities as they came up, was super clear when he made a "rule of cool" call that it would not work RAW so we were aware, and the world-building, even just in the one shot was really neat.
