I have been playing once every two weeks with Scott for a bit over a year now and I am VERY happy with my experience. While I have played in and run a handful of home-games before, joining one of Scott’s campaigns brought a lot of firsts for me; so I have attempted to break things down into subtopics to help anyone who might be asking the same questions as when I started. Scott • Leverages the formal modules and robust fantasy grounds game systems so that he can build on top of them and focus on memorable experiences. • Fosters team comradery in each campaign making these strangers you’ve just met over the internet into long-term friends. • Fosters a huge (250+) person community through his discord server making everyone feel welcome and giving you a confidence in the type of people you interact with and/or may play with. • I am always looking forward to the next game and I can understand why so many of his players return for another campaign &/or are playing numerous campaigns with Scott at a time. Start playing • I was skeptical at first after some online searching, but honestly its worth it. Finding the right GM (like Scott), finding the right campaigns and players (like this community), and handling payments are all very simple and easy. • I find this system really helps build consistency. You know when the game are going to be, you know players are going to show up, and you know that everyone involved is committed to having a good time. Games • I started playing once every two weeks. Great for testing the waters and making sure I could fit the game into my busy & chaotic schedule. I am excited to start a second bi-weekly campaign with Scott so I can play every week. • This was my first time playing a formal D&D module and also my first experience playing up to high-level, both which I would highly recommend. • Fantasy grounds system and coding enables and streamlines play, its incredibly hard to imagine playing with anything else. I think this is a lot of what makes high level play possible with Scott as it makes short work of game mechanics (like continued save spells) that would be a nightmare to track and reroll if playing by hand.

I was part of one of Cole's first games through Start Playing, but it was immediately apparent that he has substantial prior experience. He is professional, prepared, adaptive, and very good at fostering player engagement and comradery between a bunch of random people who have just met for the first time over the internet.
