“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

“Realm Building” games focus on the development, expansion, and management of something bigger than a single party, where the characters may find themselves in charge of a kingdom, faction, settlement, or organization. Over the course of gameplay, players might manage resources, make decisions that shape nations, or even guide large-scale conflicts as part of the ongoing story.

I have always loved sports, gaming and the arts. I enjoy the competition, skill, and bonding / collaboration they bring. It’s usually what I look for in a gaming group. Dabbled in TTRPGs in 2011 but got into it officially in 2018. I have experience a bit with Pathfinder but mostly D&D 5e. I enjoy all aspects of D&D; I love optimizing combat as much as I like building and investing in a world through lore, exploration, problem solving or RP. I do particularly enjoy building relationships and connections as my PCs. I’m usually the healer or crowd control of the group in any games I play. However, I love other roles as well; I find playing any missing roles of the group/team just as fulfilling.
