I joined a game/campaign with Connor in Fabula Ultima that was already going. He made sure that I met with him so that he could explain the campaign setting, the people playing the game and the characters they made. His session zero was informal, informative and what I considered to be a 'free taste' of the campaign to come. During the game he made sure to end the game talking it over with the players and finding out what went well and what did not and then improving upon it..... And that was a great thing cause as the campaign continued the fights and obstacles evolved and became more interesting and more fun as the challenge increased. He wasn't trying to kill us but make the fights more then just hit someone over and over again. The use of special rules and clocks to change the fight was great. There were disagreements on rules and how things would work but Connor was very clear on what and why he wanted things to be the way they were which was a great thing imo.
DG ran an incredibly engaging Fabula Ultima campaign that I enjoyed. It was the Odyssey of the Dragonlords module from DnD. As a fan of Fabula and wanting to play this module it worked out well and DG was able to work on a good change to the structure to work the system into the module. They were creative and immersive, and they had a real knack for making every player feel involved so that I enjoyed the game despite being a module (while I've wanted to try module I've personally always felt modules to not be as fun) making it exciting with personal touches and changes about the setting we were building with the published information. I think you'll have a good time with them.
I had the pleasure of playing Fabula Ultima under Vinny’s direction, and it was a genuinely great experience. While the campaign took place in a pre-made world, Vinny made sure it never felt restrictive—he was always open to feedback, player ideas, and collaborative changes. That openness gave everyone a real voice in shaping the story and made the game feel like a shared adventure rather than something we were just along for. Further he had a respect for player input really stood out. He may not have been against allowing the player to do something but he was always willing to listen to the 'why' of what they were doing and tried to work with us to make that happen, something I really enjoyed. Vinny’s was a wonderful balance between structure and creativity. He created a fun, interesting, and engaging campaign that had a nice mix of roleplay and exploration. It was the kind of game that reminds you why you love tabletop RPGs in the first place—full of imagination, teamwork, and memorable moments. Your in good hands with him.
justjarn is incredible. They don’t just run a game—they co-create it with you. Every session feels like we’re all building something together, not just playing through a set story. They’re constantly weaving our ideas, characters, and wild choices into the world in a way that makes everything feel meaningful and alive. What I love most is how fun and collaborative their style is. They’re creative, flexible, and always focused on making sure everyone at the table is having a great time. Whether it’s a big dramatic moment or a goofy side quest, it all fits together into a story you actually care about. If you want a GM who makes the game feel like yours too, this is the one.
Jig is an enjoyable Game Master, always bringing excitement to their Fabula Ultima sessions. With a solid understanding of the system, they work to keep the flow of the game fast-paced and engaging. Their worldbuilding is immersive, filled with unique characters and plot developments that feel push the story forward but also filled of side adventures to enjoy when the wants a break from the main quest. He seems to be able to strike the balance between exciting action and quieter moments that provide space for character development. They foster an inclusive, fun atmosphere at the table, where everyone feels encouraged to contribute and work together. Jig’s passion for the story is evident in every session, making each one enjoyable and memorable.
