Played a two part adventure of the Expanse RPG. It was with an established group of players, but Colby made sure I felt welcome and went out of his way to make sure I was included. I really appreciate that he knew the system well. He gave me the flexibility to narrate the pieces I wanted to, but was great at running with my ideas when I just had a general idea of how I could contribute. What I really appreciated was how he brought the world to life. Note that this was a few visuals, but mostly "theatre of the mind". His narration of a chase through a crowded corridors and later around an asteroid belt brought the world alive. This particular adventure was very Role Play heavy, and Colby really seems to accelerate in this area. I will say that it was a very cooperative table, with everyone taking their turn and having a chance to be the star. While that's part of who joins the table, it's also something that the personality of a good GM helps to mature over time. Very pleased with Colby, and I'll look for him to run another adventure.

Kody does an awesome job of bringing the world to life. He's focused on building a co-operative story that takes into account what the characters do. We've had a few times where the characters pick up on the subtle clues, and he just let's use roll with it. He does some [good] voice acting which helps with immersion. Combat is pretty straightforward, leaning a little towards less stressful combat. Roleplaying allows the team to find peaceful options, where appropriate. Kody definitely takes the time to make sure he's well prepared for the session. He uses Foundry VTT, and has everything loaded and ready to go for the adventure. This includes importing characters (by hand). In the end, I feel like I'm playing with someone that is just as excited to be at the table as I am.

My first experience playing online RPGs. Very happy with how inviting the DM and group has been. They've made me feel very comfortable at the table. They're happy to share the lore and setting and we're forging a great story together. I really appreciate how the group acts as a team.
