He's a great DM! His world built into Foundry is complex and wild, with some fun unique creatures as well. He's laid back, and lets us tow the line between being silly and serious. He rewards people for exceptional plays (or humor), and has fun sound effects & visuals for most spell effects. Highly recommended.

Out of the four of us, most people were RPG's, and completely new to Call of Cthulu. The GM was very methodical and patient, explaining everything quite thoroughly. We had pre-gen characters, so people didn't need to worry about character creation. We utilized Roll20 for the gameplay; GM had detailed maps, and we used it to roll dice as well. He had great atmospheric music & sound effects, which added quite well to the experience. I look forward to playing with him again sometime! Highly recommended, particularly for beginners.

Great DM! Knows the rules, but is willing to admit when he makes mistakes. Very inclusive of all players, makes sure everyone gets a time to shine. Good at storytelling, with a coherent plot and real stakes to player choices.

Gene is a fantastic GM! We played Call of Cthulhu, which invites players to be extremely descriptive and drive (and change) the story as it unfolds. Gene was a consummate master at adapting to however our players were headed with the story, and seamlessly incorporated it into the developing story. Highly recommended!
