This is my first time in a game DM'd by Sebastian, and I highly recommend him. The game itself was a great experience for the senses, with great maps, soundscape, and transition between scenes. The pacing was on point and the tension of the encounters was perfect. I loved the ingenuity and uniqueness of the encounter itself - which I can only describe as a D&D version of that old Free Ski game from the 80's. We tumbled/slid/snowboarded (Shape Water ftw) down the mountainside, facing abominal snowmen and threat of cliffs along the way. The DM encouraged and rewarded creativity (did I mention the snowboard? We made a bobsled out of ice next.) The combat was challenging, especially since we were of differing levels (Westmarches style.) Honestly a great time from start to finish, can't wait for my next adventure with Sebastian.
We've only had one session so far, but in the time setting up for our game and its characters, Ben has been constantly available and friendly. He's also facilitated and participated in RP channels to help establish our characters and their place in his world of Vulnere. Vulnere is unique from other settings in its cosmology and concept, but still fits very nicely into D&D and has a place for all concepts. Our campaign is focused in the Drakehold Isles - which are dominated by competing noble dragonborn families ruling over a population of dragonborn, lizardfolk, kobolds and humanoids.
