About me
My DM style is all about heavy roleplay and immersive storytelling. I love to dive deep into character development, letting players shape the narrative and interact with the world in meaningful ways. Whether it's forging alliances, engaging in tense negotiations, or unraveling personal character arcs, I make sure roleplaying is front and center. Puzzles and challenges are woven into the story, striking a balance between intrigue and problem-solving without slowing down the momentum. I aim to keep players engaged with a medium level of puzzles that encourage teamwork and creative thinking. When it comes to combat, I like to keep it exciting and tactical without overloading the session. Battles are cinematic and strategic, but they won’t dominate the game. Combat is important but more as a complement to the story, offering players the chance to showcase their skills without overshadowing roleplay. Overall, expect a blend of character-driven moments, fun challenges, and dynamic action.

The GM was polite and pleasant, but overall, the game felt unprepared and lacked cohesion. The story was disjointed, and much of the plot progression seemed to rely on the players to carry the narrative without much structure or guidance. Additionally, managing the game across two different VTTs added unnecessary confusion and complexity. The game was advertised as having Studio Ghibli-inspired themes, but I didn’t get that aesthetic or tone from the descriptions, visuals, or overall atmosphere. The one combat encounter we played felt unbalanced, and unfortunately, I didn’t feel engaged enough to continue. While the GM was friendly, the execution of the game left a lot to be desired.
I’ve had the privilege of playing in Shawn’s (aka Fluffy) Rime of the Frostmaiden play-by-post game, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. Shawn is a kind and inclusive DM who goes out of his way to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all players. His sense of humor is a breath of fresh air, adding a delightful lightness to what can sometimes be a serious and dark game, perfectly balancing the tone. Shawn is not only a master storyteller but also incredibly attentive to the needs and desires of his players. He takes the time to listen, accommodate requests, and weave character threads seamlessly into the narrative. The result is a campaign that feels uniquely tailored and wonderfully cohesive. If you’re looking for a DM who combines empathy, creativity, and a great sense of humor, Shawn is an exceptional choice. His games are a joy to be a part of, and I’m always excited to see what comes next!
I had the pleasure of playing in DM Travis's Ghosts of Saltmarsh campaign, and it was an exceptional experience. He excels at creating an immersive atmosphere, blending compelling voice acting with curated atmospheric music that truly brings the world to life. Travis is not only a talented storyteller but also incredibly kind and professional. He fosters a collaborative environment and is always open to feedback and suggestions from the players, ensuring everyone feels heard and valued. His technical expertise in running games through FoundryVTT is top-notch. From dynamic maps to seamless mechanics, he shows mastery over the platform and patiently teaches those new to the system. If you’re looking for a DM who combines immersive storytelling, technical proficiency, and a supportive gaming environment, Travis is an outstanding choice. Highly recommended!
Jack is one of the best DMs that I have ever played with. He makes a concerted effort to maintain the pace of the game while being insanely creative with his storytelling. It allows for an incredibly fluid, momentus game where everyone gets a chance to contribute to story building. 10/10 would recommend if you have the opportunity to play with him.
