About DM Travis

"Travis is a great storyteller and integrates player characters into his worlds extremely well. His worlds feel real and it's very easy to get lost in the moment. One of the greatest feelings I have from his games is that I feel that I was there, instead of a quiet observer, I feel my characters have stakes and choices. Travis is a master at group building. He knows the characters well and suggests way to better mesh them together. All in all, it's probably the best experience I've had in D&D" Greetings Adventurers! My name is Travis and I've been makin' magic happen at the tabletop since the 20th century. If you like a fun & immersive table with heroics, traditional fantasy energy, player agency, and light comedy - let's roll the dice together!

I got started GMing...

Because my brain could no longer contain the stories I was telling to myself up there. I wanted my friends to be in those stories, too. When I saw the joy they got from it, I never looked back.

When I'm not running games I'm...

Spending time with my wife & kiddos or working on some kind of home improvement project. You’ll occasionally find me defending the chicken coop from possums at 3am in my underwear too.

How DM Travis runs games

My style is player-centric above all. Finding ways to tie in character backgrounds and making players feel like the heroes of the tale are what makes me tick. I aim to be a RAW (Rules as written) DM, but am known to adjust rulings based on RAI (Rules as intended) & the rule of cool. I also like giving NPC's voices and doing what I can to maximize immersion/ verisimilitude. My worldbuilding tends to be grounded in realism rather than steeped in high fantasy. A sense of scale/ power progression is something I value and pay attention to.
