Despite hearing of many players who think Dungeon of the Mad Mage is an endless dungeon crawl, it actually works pretty well when you run it as a dungeon 'community' and I think it comes with everything one needs to make this happen. I generally run it as the players being sent on a diplomatic envoy from Waterdeep to explore and intervene in the dungeon's ecology and add lots of intrigue/dungeon politics along the way.
The Tales of the Yawning Portal anthology adventures are excellent for shorter term campaigns and can be used to enrich and extend other adventures quite easily. Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan and The Sunless Citadel that I've run from this book have some of my player's favorites.
This module is a classic and I've run the first chapter of the Pf2e series (adapted for Pf1e) for two different groups on FGU and Foundry. It was fun and Pf players are pretty solid and knowledgeable about the game, though it was perhaps harder to find players for, I do have the 5e Bestiary conversion and may run it as a DND adventure in the future.
