You’ve never seen “The Midnight Pact” appear on your SPG Find Game search? There is a good reason. A great reason, in fact. They sell out fast! Ricardo Garcia’s wildly popular interpretation of the “West Marches” style campaign, set in his homebrewed world of Tyr, is an online RPG player’s dream game. His lore rich world, fantastic and varied module writing, advocacy of player collaboration, as well as his skillful and patient DMing style all combine to make Tyr a world few of us ever want to leave. Don’t believe me? Ask to tour his Discord. There you will find an active community of adventurers engaged in the role playing channel. Others are there to join watch parties so that they can chat with other members of the Pact as they follow their DM and friends on adventures they might not have committed to that day. The variable time slots that the game is offered at, and the intentionally rotating nature of the cast, mean that this game will likely serve you well regardless of your real world time commitments. Colby is an experienced, funny, and knowledgeable GM who will make your online gaming experience memorable and fun. Logical house rules on how he handles fall damage and how he narrates damage taken by player characters are, in my experience, unique and intellectually satisfying. Colby enthusiasticly leaned into some of our shenanigans with classic "Yes, and..." yet still kept the narrative plot rolling. I can't wait to continue our adventure together!

I had an amazing experience as a guest player participating in one of GM Josh's ongoing campaigns. Excellent communication leading up to the session. Josh provided a safe and welcoming game session. (His players were very welcoming and friendly as well.) While this night's focus was a more traditional dungeon crawl it is clear from the lore he provided in preparation of character creation that he crafting a much larger story and world. 10 out of 10.

Carson was an amazing DM! I feel very fortunate that I had my first StartPlaying experience playing his Galateya's Will one shot. He was welcoming and helpful. The story was fantastic and allowed for significant roleplaying opportunities.
