Ryley has an enthusiasm for the game that is infectious, meaning the party is always hyped for the next session. The mechanical part of the DM job always appears so effortless with him - Ryley keeps the story moving, gives each player space and opportunity to engage, and reacts beautifully to changes of plans - that it's easy to forget the amount of prep he has clearly done. The player experience just becomes natural and immersive, making for a hugely enjoyable game. I strongly recommend joining if you have an opportunity!

Managing a Level 20 one-shot is no easy task, and Randall did a great job throughout. He has put a lot of thought into balance, pacing and challenge, as well as setting up an epic atmosphere and keeping the VTT slick and engaging. Randall was also a terrific cheerleader for his players, pushing them hard but celebrating their success and making everyone feel part of the team. No wonder he has a community that keeps coming back for more!

Ran is an absolutely terrific GM, and I thoroughly recommend joining one of her games. In the two one-shots I've played with her so far, Ran's enthusiasm and care for her players has shone through. She prepares interesting stories that are designed perfectly to allow players to express themselves at the table - I have seen relatively reserved players open up through the course of the session, prompted by Ran to expand and explore their characters. Ran also rolls well with player decisions, even if they take unexpected turns. As you would imagine, Ran's NPCs feel fleshed out and inhabited - she is great with an impromptu one-liner that feels appropriate for the individual. And when Ran runs combat, it is fast and furious, with deadly villains who feel motivated by more than just a one-dimensional desire to fight, and difficult character choices to be made even in battle. Add to all this a solid grounding on the rules, a proper approach to safety tools, an inclusive attitude and an eye for good story-telling, Ran is just great fun to play a session with.

I've now played a couple of one-shots with DM Darque and will be looking for the opportunity to do some more. She is an excellent story-first DM, running well-constructed adventures with great pacing, subtle layers, and room for a variety of approaches by the players. Her characters are nicely drawn and voiced well, and she is great at ensuring that new players are made welcome, and that everyone in the party gets involved. It adds up to a first-class game table and has left me with a broad grin on my face each time.

Adjorr ran a fun, fast-paced combat one-shot. His style was upbeat and fun (I particularly liked him asking the monsters what they'd like to do on their turns) and engaged the players well.
