Why play a typical v5 game where your PC's touchstones, allies, enemies and convictions are irrelevant to the metaplot? In a Babis-run game they are a core part of the shared story. When Babis asks: "Would you like to succeed at a cost?" your heart will race b/c you are about to lean into the the motivations/risks that made you want to play your PC. Every game gave me a Hollywood cinematic moment that was worth the ticket price (and fun dice rolls.) Sign up for a game and watch your PC come to life, react to complications and fully evolve in ways you did not imagine.
Rob uses a process of weekly check-ins to customize the experience towards exactly what the players are hankering for (which I've rarely seen done so effortlessly.) Be careful what you wish for or you'll end up facing 1,000 cockroaches (as we did in one fun episode.) There's a nice slow burn humanity struggle as we bully the weak while getting enmeshed in ancilla schemes that's very VtM.
Update: I've been playing with Sawyer for over a year now through multiple chronicles. Have loved every one. Previous: Materializes what you put into your PC sheet and session zero. Really leaned (tastefully) into the horror of a v5 campaign. Asks good RP questions like: "what does your PC feel/react about that?" There was a good balance between dice rolling, RP, political high stakes, and bang-bang shootups all in the course of 3 episodes.
