About me
I've been gaming officially since I was about 8 years old, with my Dad as my first GM with an AD&D campaign. I learned how to draw by copying the various monsters and deities from the manuals. My Dad instilled in me the appreciation of a good story. He told me the tales of Bilbo, the Ring, the Sword of Shannara, and even real life events in the past as an adventure or mystery on long car trips. Since my parents were medieval reenactors as well as historians/old-school genealogists, my days were spent with a lot of imagination, trips to cemeteries and old libraries, large field battles and court etiquette, and stories. I love character interaction, story telling, and feeling the role of the character. I have yet to ever finish a campaign, with other players or the story teller flaking out or real life getting in the way. I take the game seriously, even if my character is an ass. I will delve into your lore and do my best to make my character fit into your world. I have a tendency to create PCs that fit a little too well into plot, so feel free to use me as a device. I'm used to it, lol. I also do character art. Some of my stuff is over on DeviantArt under ArcanaJester. Currently co-running a Second Sight game with The Revelling Bard (I'm in storyteller training)! If all goes well, you may actually see me as a Game Master in some Play-by-Post games in the future. My brain sometimes makes it difficult for me to verbalize, so writing is easier (although I still enjoy the table very much). My schedule is a bit hectic due to retail-hell, so I am only guaranteed Sunday's off. Maybe Friday Nights. If you wish to invite me to something, usually after 9pm any day other than free Sunday is safe.

Selecting three tags to describe what is so great about Eric is not enough. He was my introduction to a wider world of role playing. Before meeting him and joining his home-brewed Legend of Zelda game, I had only had experience in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons with my dad as GM, and some play-by-post sites with no real RP rules. I was pulled along to this session to watch by a mutual friend. It was March 19, 2004. Eric asked me to join, even though he already had about nine players present, and helped me quickly make a character to jump right in with everyone. He was inclusive and helpful, and I was amazed at how quickly he could pull an NPC out of his butt that the players would instantly latch onto for the rest of the chronicle. He was able to orchestrate several groups of people to give equal play time, and even though it wasn’t our turn we were highly entertained. He knew my passion for the Legend of Zelda lore (this was the time of Ocarina), and actively listened to me when spouting all the religious and cultural intricacies to improve his setting. He loved the backstories we threw at him and would always ask for more detail to understand them better. That game has lasted on and off for about twenty years with many players that still to this day talk about all of the creative things he let us get away with, the incredible story and mysteries we discovered, and our characters' interactions with one another. I have played with Eric not only in a Story Teller role as Forever GM, but also as a fellow player. His role play style seems to inspire those around them to up their game, inspiring new players and new story tellers alike! He helps us create dynamic characters and gets us to care deeply about them and the world in whatever setting we’re in, from a LARP World of Darkness to his table-top home-brewed world in Zoridock. I have even witnessed, in college, twenty people sitting in a restaurant clear the building to rush home and make characters upon news that their favorite story teller was starting a new game. It was a trip! Recommended if you’re new. If you’re creative and love to experiment, he is also the way to go. If you can break his plots by throwing a curve ball, he will love you for it. He’s the kind of guy that cares about your character and your story as much as you do. The first game with him will always have a special place in my heart. We’ve been together since 2007, and I still play with him every chance I get.
