I was fortunate enough to join Ryan for a long form run of Glitch (one of my grail games). Glitch is an avant guard TTRPG experience (Diceless system, narrative driven, thematically deep) that is demanding on both players and GM. Ryan balanced the experience to well fit an old hand such as my self as well as players completely new to roleplaying. Ryan framed a story that allowed us to explore the the philosophical aspects of the settings in a whimsical, endlessly entertaining way. Ryan pushed the boundaries of what RPGs can do system switching to drive the story forward. If avant-guard play isn't your style Ryan still has you covered. He is running my adult kids through a 5e D&D campaign that both exploits and subverts high fantasy tropes in a player driven story. If you are looking for a GM that has tremendous range (from the cutting edge of TTRPGs to 5e), cares about their players, and leans in to player choices then you will create amazing stories with Ryan.
I had reached out to Dana to run a session of Psi*Run for my regular play group. We all had an amazing time. Psi*Run is a system light but thematic game that requires a lot of creativity and improvisation. Dana was incredible skillful at navigating through the system and created a real sense of cinematic suspense. It felt very much like a movie chase scene. Dana expertly manage our various play styles and quickly adapted to a group that has played with each other extensively. Dana also well leveraged safety tools to keep us all comfortable. If you are looking for a GM that plays interesting games, cares about your playing experience, and that will leave you with memorable escapades you will be well served by Dana.
Jason’s virtual table is a fun, welcoming environment. Jason well leverages his acting experience to enliven both scenes and characters. He juggles tone alternating between presenting lighthearted and serious moments as the situation demands. He instills a sense of stakes that make you sit up when you play. He is excellent at levering the mechanics of the game system to drive roleplay without the mechanics being intrusive. Jason well suits you if you care about the people you play with. Want to try new and interesting systems. Lean into roleplay and atmosphere.
