It’s been about 8 months since session one. This was my first time playing DnD after only experiencing it by watching others play. Rollin has been so patient and helpful when it comes to questions I have had about game mechanics as a new player. They create a great balance of amazing roleplaying sessions with sprinkles of fun but challenging battles in between. They also go above and beyond to create a safe and comfortable space for players of all backgrounds and experience levels. I’m also so blown away by their dedication to their craft. How they are able to juggle multiple different games and also host multiple game sessions in a day is so impressive to me. Every week, I’m always so excited to play, looking forward to what's going to happen next! The Discord community has also been the best one I’ve been a part of! Everyone is super welcoming and it's been nice in between sessions, getting to meet other players and chat. If my budget allowed it, I would definitely be playing in the many other games they offer!
As a first timer player for DnD, Kill does a amazing job! From helping the players set up a character, to explaining how to play the class the players pick, to making sure everyone is having a fun time while playing. I can’t say enough how amazing this DM is and how much I’m looking forward to playing more DnD with them and the group of other players!
Nixter and I meet through a FB DnD Group and after conversing back and forth were able to find a time for myself and my friend to play a one shot. At first, we all thought their would be more players but unfortunately, it ended up being my friend and I and Nixter as the DM. I can say that it was a very fun time! Nixter had very good experience in playing DnD and explained to us how to use roll, what to add, etc. though out the game. He also taught us on the spot the mechanics of using the online we used for the one shot. Overall, I have a very fun time, especially since it was a while since I have played myself and I was still fairly new to playing DnD. Some small things that I would change would be two things. One would be the preparedness for the game. When we joined on voice chat, the DM was still getting ready so it did take a bit before we could start and even then, we still had to go over tech things and DnD session zero things. This might have been good to do maybe a day early just so we had a bit more time to play. The second thing would be the amount of player which technically isn't anyone's fault. It felt okay with just the two of us and the DM but it felt definitely harder to fight monsters with only two characters and a NPC. Other then that, I would definitely love to play with Nixter again! Hopefully the next time around, we have more players and can do some more one shots or even a campaign together!
