About Edward

Hello! My name is Ed, and I love to create memorable, engaging and welcoming scenarios for people of all kinds! I have been playing tabletop RPGs off and on for the last 16 odd years, with Dungeons and Dragons in its many editions being the main focus, while also playing Cyberpunk, Battletech TTRPG, Homebrew Rulesets, and many others. I've been honing my GM'ing skills just as long, with a major focus being applied over the last 5 years. Professionally I've spent my whole life with a customer/people driven mindset, and have spent years as a manager and facilitator. I also have a background in training, and love teaching new players how to play TTRPGs. I hope to bring this skillset, and use it as a jumping point to create enjoyable group experiences with players.

How Edward runs games

For my online sessions, I thrive on combining my love of video games and TTRPGs by using Foundry. This system allows me to build fully immersive maps, complete with lighting and sound effects. My deep understanding of the VTT allows me to provide the best experience I can. Expect equal amounts of role play and combat, with a fleshed out world inhabited by multiple parties of players. I focus on working with my players to tell a story, not guiding them from point A to B, and I welcome input and creativity. I stay away from inter-party romance, sexual themes, and the abuse of minors or animals as a rule. We'll set other rules as a party and expand that list as necessary to make sure that everyone feels comfortable while playing.
