About Deidre
I've been running tabletop games for over 4 years, and playing for even longer. I have a degree in game design and always love using the skills I've gained to create fun and engaging experiences for others. Not only do I play and run tabletop games, I also make my own tabletop games. Using my game design skills, I have run campaigns for game systems that I have created myself. And these games have even put on stage at local theatres. For more info just google "The Wharp" and check the last name of the creator.

My favorite shows/movies are
3: Baby Geniuses: This 1999 film is a masterpiece of baby themed cinema. All about the secret lives of babies. Not at all cringey and weird. 2: Super Babies-Baby Geniuses 2: The Perfect sequel to a perfect movie. They're babies. With superpowers! Crazy! 1: The NeverEnding Story: I like it :^)
People are always surprised when I tell them
That I make my own TTRPGs. I have a degree in game design. With a focus on immersive storytelling. My thesis project was a brand new TTRPG called The Wharp. Made with a distinct focus on player creativity. So if anyone's interested in playing or learning to play Wharp, just lemme know.
How Deidre runs games
My goal as a GM is always to encourage player creativity and freedom. To create the opportunity for players to accomplish the things they want out of the experience. You want a roleplay heavy story with mystery and political intrigue? I'm your guy. You want combat heavy experience that challenges your skills and knowledge? Hope you're ready to face that challenge. Or do you just wanna screw around with a bunch of joke characters and accidentally tell a beautiful story along the way? Session's already prepped. My goal as a GM is to make we're all telling the story together, so let me know what story you want, and I'll make it happen.

I once ran a session...
Where my players encountered a goose. Just a normal goose. And they all went crazy. One player tried to attack it, rolled a 7. Another tried to befriend it, rolled a 4. Yet another tried to entice it into their bag of holding, rolled so poorly the goose pulled a knife out of the bag and stabbed them
My games focus on...
Player creativity and freedom. Especially when it comes to character creation. I'm obviously not gonna let the players walk all over me, but I find that players almost always resonate more with stories when given the opportunity to feel like their choices and actions truly matter to the narrative.
When it comes to voices
I have a thousand and one of them. I always put effort into making sure each NPC has a distinct voice and personality. I spend time practicing accents and mannerisms. And I dedicate myself to making sure that these stories and these characters feel genuinely alive.
Deidre's ideal table
My tables are always focused on letting the players explore their own creativity. Coming with interesting solutions to problems, or doing something in a way I hadn't thought of. I always encourage collaboration and teamwork, and I always communicate with my players to ensure everyone's having a good time. Our goal is a to tell a story together. Let's make it a fun one.

I love it when a player
Does something weird with a spell or ability. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it is so much fun for me to see what kind of things people can come up with. Table top games are the perfect medium for being flexible with how it works. I encourage that flexibility.
I think min/maxing...
Is kinda funny actually. The research and creativity that goes into making a broken character build are genuinely admirable and I welcome it. Just don't use a build you found online, because I've probably seen it and already have a counter prepared. Surprise me by making it yourself.
