About Braden Wagster
Hi! My name is Braden, and I'm a 20 year long player and lover of D&D, and now going on 5 years as a DM. I started DMing for a group of mostly family, and have completely fallen in love. A huge fan of CR and D20, I decided to start with my own world and homebrew everything from scratch, which was extremely difficult, but unbelievably fulfilling. I'd love to meet new people who share a passion for TTRPGs and expand my horizons to new campaigns, settings, and maybe even other systems as well! I look forward to playing with you!

My favorite books are
The Eschaton Sequence by John C. Wright. While many fantasy/sci-fi series are dear to my heart (Inheritance, Darth Bane, The Abhorsen, Mistborn), nothing matches the scope and scale of The Eschaton Sequence.
My favorite system of all Time is
Even though I've mostly played (and exclusively DM'd) DnD 5E, I think my favorite system is actually Shadowrun. Blending sci-fi and fantasy hits me right where I live, and I'd love to GM Shadowrun in the future!
When I'm not running games I'm...
Watching physics documentaries with my cat, reading fantasy and sci-fi novels, or playing PoE and other games!
How Braden Wagster runs games
The games I've been running for the last 4 years have been a nice blend of high fantasy, serious roleplaying, engaging (but not brutal) combat, and light politics. I value heavy investment into story and roleplay, but as a long time turn-based and RTS gamer, can definitely test your skills in combat as well!

My games focus on...
I enjoy a roleplay focused game that blends fun and goofy antics with seriousness when it's called for.
Rules are...
Rules are important, but not set in stone. I generally go with Rules as Written, but will always listen to other interpretations and ideas. I'm flexible about implementing new things when they are fun and not disruptive.
When it comes to voices
The most important thing with voices is effort and authenticity. If you're making a real effort, it's a great voice!
Braden Wagster's ideal table
My table will always be an inclusive and safe place for everyone to enjoy the game. I have zero tolerance for bigotry or hate, especially in a session where we are exploring and having fun. Nuts and Bolts I run games of 4-5 players to keep things diverse, but not overwhelming. My games are run remotely through a customized and fully set up Foundry VTT. It requires a somewhat modern computer to run smoothly, but I'm very happy to teach anyone unfamiliar with the platform as we go! I am autistic and auditory sensitive, so good mic etiquette is a must in sessions. I am always down to help with adjustments of mic settings and noise suppression in Discord, as well as system settings to make your voice clear and beautiful for everyone!

I am for a vibe that's...
Goofy and serious in equal amounts. I have the most fun when hilarious antics and deep roleplay exist side by side throughout a session.
I think min/maxing...
Is perfectly fine, so long as there's a real character behind those high numbers! Strong combat PCs give me the opportunity to create tough and tactical combats, but I never want to sacrifice roleplay and character development to do so.
My perfect party mix is
Whatever you guys want to play! I don't mind creating or modifying combat encounters or dungeons to suit parties lacking healing or specific skills, etc. Adventuring parties come in all different compositions and skillsets.
