About Trisden
Hey, I’m Trisden. I’ve been running D&D since 2015, and some of my favorite memories are introducing new players to the game. There’s nothing quite like seeing someone roll their first natural 20 when everything’s on the line. I love creating worlds that grow around the players—where choices and backstories shape the adventure as it unfolds. My games blend storytelling and strategy, with plenty of exploration, character-driven moments, and fair, tactical combat that keeps everyone engaged. So, if you like thoughtful choices, balanced combat, and memorable NPCs, then I’m your GM! If you’re brand new to D&D, I offer private 1:1 Learn-to-Play sessions where we walk through character creation, rules, and play out a short adventure. Just hit the “Book Private Game” button on my profile to set one up!

When I'm not running games I'm...
usually brainstorming new worlds, reading adventure modules, or tinkering with homebrew ideas I’ll probably never finish. Outside of D&D I'm always down for a good board game.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
creative, patient, and immersive.
I got started GMing...
after finishing my very first D&D campaign as a player — Lost Mine of Phandelver. I loved the story so much that I decided to run it for a new group, but this time I built in their backstories and personal goals. That’s when it clicked for me: the best part of D&D is when the story becomes yours.
How Trisden runs games
My GMing style is a mix of story-driven roleplay, meaningful combat, and immersive exploration — all tied together by character backstories that actually matter. The world reacts to your choices, your past, and your actions. I really enjoy getting to know the villain of each arc and figuring out their motives, flaws, and the choices that led them down their path. I try to make every antagonist feel like a real person, not just a stat block to defeat. When villains feel layered and believable, the story hits harder and choices carry more weight. My tables are laid-back, fun, and interactive. Expect a balance of laughter, tense moments, epic battles, and a living, breathing world. I lean into NPC voices, ambient music, and battle themes to build atmosphere and keep everyone engaged. I’m new-player friendly, but I also love running for veterans who bring depth, creativity, and chaos to the game. When the rules slow us down, we default to the Rule of Cool and keep the story moving. If you’re brand new to D&D, I offer private 1:1 Learn-to-Play sessions where we walk through character creation, rules, and play out a short adventure. Just hit the “Book Private Game” button on my profile to set one up. I run both D&D 5e (2014) and D&D 5e (2024). We play via Discord for chat and voice, with D&D Beyond (shared library included), D&D Beyond Maps, or Roll20 for visuals. I like to keep the tech simple so we can focus on storytelling.

My favorite trope is...
meeting at a tavern. It’s a classic for a reason and it gives everyone a chance to size each other up, share a drink, and kick off the chaos that’s about to unfold.
I deal with rules issues by...
by keeping the game moving. We’ll look it up if it’s quick, but if not, I’ll make a fair call in the moment and check the rule after the session. The focus is always on keeping things fun and flowing.
When it comes to voices
I like to have fun with it. I’m no professional, but I enjoy giving characters distinct personalities and keeping players entertained
Trisden's ideal table
My table is a collaborative, creative space where every player helps shape the adventure. I want people to feel comfortable trying bold ideas, building on each other’s stories, and making choices that actually matter in the world. You’ll fit in perfectly if you: Enjoy character-driven stories with real consequences Like a mix of roleplay, exploration, and cinematic combat Appreciate a relaxed, playful, and respectful table Are new to the game and looking for a proper introduction to D&D Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned adventurer, you’ll always have a seat here. Bring your creativity, your curiosity, and your dice and I’ll bring the world to life around you.

I am for a vibe that's...
relaxed but immersive, where laughter, tension, and epic moments all have a place at the same table
My table is not the place for...
rules lawyering, spotlight hogging, or disrespect. We’re here to tell a great story together, and that only works when everyone feels welcome and heard
I love it when a player
buys into the story and engages with the world around them. When everyone leans in and starts making choices that matter, the game comes alive
