About Wello
Hello! My name is Wello. I'm a non-binary actor with a B.A. in Theatre. I studied with The National Theatre Institute at The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center and have spent the last ten years working as a professional actor in commercial work, theatre, and film. I've been a game master since 2019 and have successfully completed two home games in Dungeons and Dragons 5e. However, my most glowing accomplishment is that I'm a day 1 DROPOUT subscriber who watched and finished every season of DIMENSION 20 as they were premiering. HOOT GROWL!!

I became a GM because
I love telling stories with other people. As an actor I've always enjoyed the collaborative effort in a show that is not only pursuing the story but also just straight up taking care of each other. Any story telling endeavour needs that attitude to maintain its structure while it's being built.
My favorite shows/movies are
One Piece has a firm grasp on my TV attention right now. It was my New Years Resolution to start and finish by the end of 2025 and I'm still on pace to finish on time. I'm addicted to Luffy's attitude and perseverance. Each member of the crew adds crazy power and narrative impact to the show.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Kind. Consistent. Detail-Oriented.
How Wello runs games
My style is greatly influenced by my background as a professional actor. I do a wide variety of voices, dialects, and accents. The character creation and exploration for each NPC is complex and practiced. My world-building and story-telling also pull from this background. These stories can range from realistic, to fantastical, to surreal.

I deal with rules issues by...
I will take time to look up a ruling if it is easily accessed and make a call but often I will just let the dice decide when it comes right down to it.
I once ran a session...
I had a group of all actors/crew playing as actors/crew who's goal it was to steal from their audience members.
I prep by
I will start with a world in mind, but to fill it I go to my players' backstories and use what they have written to spark story beats and encounters. I will also take the time to go over their spells and abilities and think of ways to flavor them narratively.
Wello's ideal table
I play well with groups of people from diverse backgrounds who can put kindness and safety first. If you can respect me and your fellow players, you have a place at this table. Making room for one another is important, so that every one gets their time in the spotlight.

I love it when a player
When they ask another player a question about their character and then make actions based on their conversation. PC to PC relationships are critical to an engaging narrative.
I think min/maxing...
I've always seen this as okay as long as the flavor is right and you have narrative reasons for each adjustment. Generally, if it gets too game breaking, I just work on balancing incredible strength with frightening consequences.
My table is not the place for...
Racism. Homophobia. Sexism. Transphobia. Bigotry of any kind.
