About The Friendly Chap
I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons, and other RPGs since the late 80s. Started GM-ing in my teens, and turns out I'm one of those who prefer to be a GM. I get to make funny voices. I tend to enjoy pre-made modules, which usually discourage uncooperative player groups. I wouldn't say I like doing a lot of prep and having players upend it on purpose. I tend to run games a bit more Old School, relying more on player skill than stats on the page. I play open dice, so I *never* fudge the dice for a specific outcome. This can result in Adam dying only for the party to find his long-lost twin Edam tied up in the next room.

When I'm not running games I'm...
In suspended animation, or at work. Sleeping! I mean sleeping. What human would be in suspended animation, ridiculous. <Tries to pull tarp over the blue phonebooth>
How The Friendly Chap runs games
Not a big combat fan, but I run combat fine. I prefer roleplay, and would say I like to run fantasy in a David Eddings style. Some of the best stories are just what happens on travel. An epic game is one the players enjoy.
