About The Eccentric
Welcome to my profile, bozo. Here, you'll find how my ECCENTRICITY stands as the foundation to my craft. I tried DnD in 2018, and within weeks, became the DM and have been cursed with this power since. My stories focus on the struggles of the character and the emotional turmoil that comes with them. In light we may see a paladin who blooms with righteousness, but in the dark, they are haunted by every soul they've claimed in the name of their God. My studies in psychology only deepens my interest in this kind of approach. Running games isn't just an avenue for me to display my writing; the stories that happen within my games are born from our interactions as fellow players. You are as much a writer as I am in the game. If you're the sort to enjoy seeing the growth of your character as a person, then take a seat. This table welcomes those who want to grow alongside the story, as both PC and Player. I've been DMing for over 7 years now, reaching my 8th. I hope to see more creative minds intermingle with mine, synapses exploding together to create heartshaking tales!

I became a GM because
My brain itches when it cooks up something new. That's followed by the urge to spill it all out and get feedback, because seeing reactions to my work excite me! It only becomes better when the players get involved, making a pool of shifting narrative possibilities!
People are always surprised when I tell them
I'm Filipino.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Reading and tweaking. I'm big into eastern fiction, and I've got a few western fictions under my belt. As for the tweaking part, it's because I have a spicy brain, not spicy enough to be diagnosed, but it's noticeable. Anyways, I also write a lot of homebrew mechanics for fun.
How The Eccentric runs games
I go deep into the roleplay and psychology of it all! Topics of trauma and abuse are explored in my game, but only up to what the players allow. Voices? I do that a lot, gotta have an outlet for those in my head. Uh, what else? Often, we will go story-first, because the mechanics should be a foundation, not a cage to a good story.

My games focus on...
Psychology and roleplay.
Rules are...
Mutable.
When it comes to voices
I can't get enough of them, and I always have more to give! The vocal expression and the tone are part of the storytelling experience.
The Eccentric's ideal table
The table is open to an abundant amount of homebrew (after discussions, of course), because we're a safe-space for yappers.

I love it when a player
Gushes about their character in the context of the world and the other players. I hear you, King/Queen, tell me all about the reason Morobir's hesitation in killing his defeated foe is because Player B's character reminds him too much of his mother, who was merciful.
I think min/maxing...
Is absolutely fine and welcome, as long the story is able to support it. If you're able to lead the narrative where your numbers match the story, kudos! Banger of a job!
My table is not the place for...
Rigid rules lawyering and those who only want to roll number rocks.
