About me

I've been a DM since my first years at highschool going back now over 15 years ago. In that time, I have always enjoyed teaching new people the joys of roleplaying as well as having long (~3 years) campaigns with a group or two. Whatever the situation, I love to set scenery moments of the world and to paint vivid images of situations. To emphasis this I add voices to each of each NPC. Now, I am not a professional voice-actor but I do manage to make memorable enough NPCs to be one of those "Do you remember?" moments. Moments that I hope to recreate here. I had the honour of being a GM for a local game store, but was forced to put my miniature collection in a cabinet and adopt to the online media thanks to you-know-what. Here, I always tried to gage the reactions of my players and add additional sillyness or seriousness as seemed enjoyable for them. I am still learning in this media, but I hope to spread the joy of roleplaying here.

GM Style

I am a GM that loves to describe setpieces that make the world come alive. A world that lives and breathes, NPCs have characteristic voices and clothing and have their own motives and ideas. If you revisit a town and did a bad or good deed, they might remember but will also have gone on with their lives. I encourage people to use character names and speak to them using them. Such little things can make of lovely experience in a great experience as you get sucked into the world you have found yourself in. As a professional GM at the store, I learned to gage a bit my players and based of that my battles can revolve around tactics or can be played a bit more cinematic. Different systems lend them for some styles better than other, e.g. Pathfinder for the first and Numenera for the second. Social interactions/puzzles in the form of personal quests, frightened farmhands or political intrigue are a stapple and I love to play them out. Puzzles regarding hauntings, murders or dangerous situations tend to have at least one appearance in my one-shots and are present on a regular basis through-out a campaign. Puzzles in the form of decrypting cyphers, solving riddles and the like are reserved for dungeons most of the time and rarely appear in one-shots. Character deaths, by the way, are certainly possible. There is no sense of danger, if you cannot die. So go forth, for great peril, yields great beauty.
