The 8 Oceans of Halan'orax
A nautical pirate themed 5e homebrew game with guns, cannons, and custom built naval combat mechanics!
About the adventure
Prepare to explode onto the 8 Oceans as you get swept up in a stronger pirates' power play to dominate his corner of the seas. But one crew has defied him and now sails to knock him out of the pirate game. How you do that is up to you, but you'll need to amass and keep a crew to survive on the oceans! Do you want a crew of griffons, dire wolves, and ogres? Butter them up or intimidate them into servitude! How about an entire crew of devils and undead, or angels and kobolds? Your crew is yours, you decide who gets to join! The world is just waiting for a crew strong enough to shake things up, and a crew needs strong adventurers. Are you up to the task? You will be taking the role of pirates, sea adventurers, and freedom lovers. Whether you want to save the world from evil pirates, or conquer it as the most feared sailors in the oceans, this game is right for you! Here's a little lore if you like it so far to set the sails! 350 years ago, the demon lords rose from the Abyss to wage an unholy war upon the higher realms. The gods agreed to fight, and chose the material realm as the battleground. Within a month, the demon lords were cast back to whence they came, but our world was now a barren wasteland. So the gods summoned the waters of the water realm and flooded the scarred land till only the highest peaks remained. They sculpted new spits of archipelagos and told humanity that when the world was healed, they could reclaim the land. Today, the world is divided into territories of rival pirates and warlords. It is a lawless time, where justice and opportunity are only present when you make it for yourself. Currently the Pirate Queen Ezka rules over the greatest amount of ocean, where she is constantly threatened by her biggest rivals; Truth, the emperor of the largest landmass left, Gaia. He seeks to bring order back to the world by any means necessary. Vivi, the director of a powerful trading guild who believes in one absolute certainty, all must pay taxes. Lothar, the most feared raider and reaver on the 8 oceans, who has amassed a fleet of slaves, villains, and unholy creatures to conquer the seas.

About me
Hi there, thanks for checking me out! I'm not very good about talking about me, but we're not here for me. We're for you, and the stories you can tell. All I do is put all my creative energy in to making those stories come alive in the most glorious and colourful way possible! Pre covid I ran professional face to face 5e games and have 10 years experience. I've had hundreds of players, and thousands of games at this point. Never once ran a premade module. I like my homebrew! I have voice performing experience and am educated in creative writing. I tailor games to suit the individual, and have a varied mix of RP, Combat, Exploration, & Dungeon Crawling. I'm currently focusing on my homebrew pirate 5e campaign, The 8 Oceans of Halan'orax. My finest work yet, feel free to have a look at any listings!

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Storytelling
Voices
Creativity
Jack is an amazing DM. He is a great story teller who likes to ensure every character has their moment to shine. I think my favorite part of the games are the wide array of NPCs that all have their own personality as well as their own amazing and fun voice. I highly recommend joining a game with Jack if you have the chance.
Jack is a wonderful GM for players of all experience levels, and leans into the hilarity that can ensue in Dungeons and Dragons. That is not to say however that he cannot handle serious moments, he is an absolute wonder when it comes to setting the tone of an adventure and raising stakes on players and characters who are usually quite goofy, while staying within the realms of player comfortability.
Jack is an incredible GM! I am fairly new to the world of DnD and Jack lays out his games in a way that is beginner-friendly and is still fun and exciting! He pays attention to the characters and how they are being played and designs challenges based on individual and group traits, which has been absolutely awesome! Don’t get me started on the voices and sound effects too, it’s the kind of quality you’d expect from a professional voice actor!! So excited for future sessions! :D
