When I'm not running games I'm...
Stuck in the middle with you.
How Bretton the Tavern Keeper runs games
I'm about the story; yes combat and game-play are important but if the story is lacking, you just aren't going to be invested. I'll get you in get you hooked and let you express who you/your character is. Yes the game can be hard but I'm not here to kill you, this isn't me against you, it's us making a great story together. If that sounds good to you then I am likely your next DM/GM. If you see a game I've posted for in person, look up Petawawa Ontario Canada to see if you are close enough to attend.
Bretton the Tavern Keeper's ideal table
To me a good table is like friends gathering to play cards on a Saturday night. Lots of laughs, stories without allot of drama. Folks to can take a joke and give a joke and who can just talk to each other without everything becoming an argument. Differences of opinion and open discussion is great but don't get bogged down in the "I" that must be right. If the GM says something is happening a certain way... go with it, likely even if he has denied your possible spoiler the result may be well worth it. aka super fun.

I am for a vibe that's...
Lighthearted and upbeat. Don't get me wrong if the GM is rolling out a dark and spooky scene maybe don't toss out a knock knock joke but not everything needs to be ultra serious.
I think min/maxing...
Is a mistake that ruins the game mechanics is most systems. You aren't here to beat the game or break it. You are just here to have fun. Overpowered min maxing ruins most low level to even high level encounters.
My perfect party mix is
A couple melee a couple wiggly fingers and 1 chaos. you know who you are chaos, the one who inadvertently makes way more trouble or way more interesting things happen to the party. Note: Chaos must also know when not to chaos, ie too much of anything isn't good.
