About Richie
Greetings fellow planeswalkers, I'm here to broaden minds and make imagination a reality. Let's make you a character, and see what happens. Working on a homebrew that I know you'll enjoy 'The T'Rorr Of Notsuul' taking place on a far off planet with an astonishing journey. I enjoy story arch developments, plot twists, thrilling encounters, and near crippling defeats. That will hopefully influence your real life. I'm not a "PushOver" DM but if you really want to try something outrageous in game... let's roll and see what happens. We can play any kind of game you like. Weather is more combat based, exploratory, or role-playing style. Interested in hosting 2-6 players campaigns. Timing is arguably the hardest part about DnD. So I'd like to be able to host 2hr to 8hr sessions pending player availability.

When I'm not running games I'm...
Mainly I'm a fourth generation carpenter by trade. Working in all aspects of construction. It pays the bills, but im trying to shift careers. So I've been also working on my writing, and becoming published. Novel style mostly, essentially to get the ideas out. DND helped my writing emencly.
How Richie runs games
My DM "style" would probably classified as loose and situational. I like giving the players more creative choices. Really flexing the imagination and creative of this universe. Character creation and voices are a talent I'm glad to have. Role-playing is hard for some people, definitely something to practice. The voice is something I usually need to tweek around. Oh, make sure you give your creation a purpose, goal, or desire that drives them. It also helps make NPCs come to life in your own stories. Combat is a key to tewm building, charachter growth, and story development. Once I evaluate your strengths and the many facets of the other players will bring a more challenging combat. Lastly, some things come to me in the moment. At times this changes the story from how i had it planned. When we are all in it and flowing and the apex hits, my artistic side comes out that i hope you'll understand. Availability: Idealy Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday mornings. Saturday and Sunday nights.

I deal with rules issues by...
I establish what the player is trying to actually do. Then access how they are trying to do it. Finally I'll calculate what that roll boils down too, and have them roll a D20. Which will render a final verdict.
Rules are...
...important, but not the main focus. Some rules are necessary. Like stat effects, conditions, world mechanics, and that being said. Any DM has full right to say "no" to anything. Almost like the "rule of cool" and "plot armor" situation. It will all make sense in time.
When it comes to voices
Fining the right voice for an NPC or villain get tricky at times. Depending on ethnicity, age, background, and personality. Whilst trying to be different than my "narration voice".
Richie's ideal table
I try to be relaxed and fun at the table. Openess is key for me, no question is bad. I like people to be comfortable and engages. Warms my heart when the table erupts in cheer when a twist or success arrives. Keeping the party guessing and wondering what is next. Watching the players team up and try to solve a clue or riddle. Or they contemplate the next step in the caper or situation. Making custom arcs for each player, with solutions to what they seek. Sometimes crazy things happen. I want to help however I can.

I think metagaming...
It's hard not to do. If your keeping notes, and are listening to the other members, its hard not to let player knowledge to influence your character knowledge. Especially if you've built a character of lore type knowledge. It's up to me to keep it clear. Unfair to all, to be fair for all.
