About me

Hello! I am Steven, a dedicated storyteller, improviser, and DM with 4 years of experience. My favorite things in the world are telling moving stories and creating social bonds. I have played at least a dozen individual games, with at most 5 long-term games going at one time, and I hope there are hundreds more in both of our futures!

GM Style

I have a great time with all aspects of D&D! Primarily I enjoy in-depth roleplay with character bonds, story meaning and implications, and giving my players meaningful opportunities to affect the world around them. I try to create combat with depth, interesting story implications and ties, alternative win conditions, and interesting consequences to failure (though I do my best to avoid meaningless character deaths). I see a game of D&D as the collective work of DM and players creating a story together in a balance of equal creative input. It means more than anything to me that worlds I put together as a DM are added to by character choices and background details, and can be changed by the choices of the player characters in order to tell a story we can all be proud of.
