I became a GM because

I wanted to bring me and my loved ones' creations to life! Whether it be a concept for an epic campaign or a dumb idea of how to fill an afternoon, I couldn't let it sit idly in my head - I wanted others to come along and make it better by adding onto it.

My favorite system of all Time is

Definitely Cyberpunk RED. There's just something about it that makes me unable to put it down. A close runner-up is D&D 5e, mostly because I began there, just like many other people.

When I'm not running games I'm...

Mostly gaming, often with friends. I hang out with friends a lot in general - we do a lot of wacky stuff that we find fun.

How Skye runs games

I try my best to listen to every player and find compromises between their expectations. I prefer to stay flexible and open-minded. My number one priority is to grant every player their moment to shine, whether it be in a tense roleplay scene or a nail-biting, chess match-like battle.

I deal with rules issues by...

...asking the others at the table for their input - maybe they caught something I missed or have a third-party resource on hand that could settle the dispute.

My games focus on...

...the player characters, their stories and their impact upon the world.

When it comes to voices

I try my very, very best to give each character a unique feel... But there are only so many types of people in the world. That, and I'm not a voice actor. I'll get there, though!

Skye's ideal table

I like to keep things relaxed and lighthearted. Of course, there are exceptions, but I make sure the time is right to introduce heavier scenes that call for more immersion than others. I like to remain in-characters, however out-of-character speak is not discouraged, especially when it's to ask me questions.

Featured Prompts

I think metagaming...

...should be kept to a minimum. If you can make your case, sure, maybe, but any other time is a no from me.

I think min/maxing...

...has its time and place. I'm horrible at min/maxing, and I find it impressive when someone finds a way to break a system, but it's important to be mindful of others - including the GM and the story they're trying to tell.

My table is not the place for...

...yelling, addressing out-of-game conflicts, personal disputes. If you absolutely need to curse eachother out, take it outside.
