About Sheradan

Hey there! I’m Sheradan, an actor and voice actor from Pennsylvania! I’ve been rolling dice since I was 12, when D&D 3.5e first got me hooked via a high-chaos wizard. I’ve run games across D&D 3.5e, D&D 5e, Shadowrun, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Root. I love building homebrew settings and crafting stories where players feel like their choices matter. My style has a lot of “big friendly golden retriever energy”. I want the table to feel welcoming, supportive, and collaborative. My stories tend to lean toward horror, mystery and thriller tones, however, I always throw in comedy to keep things light. I also enjoy homebrewing cozy and humor filled misadventure campaigns with lots of grounded and intense moments! I love giving players a safe space to explore eerie settings, solve mysteries, or have funny misadventures, all while knowing the game is about their fun first. I’m also developing my own original RPG system called Banisher, which blends investigative casework with creeping corruption and otherworldly forces. It’s a game about unraveling secrets, confronting the darkness, and finding out what you’re willing to sacrifice to protect others. Banisher is my passion project, and I’m excited to bring it to this platform for players who want something unique and atmospheric. Also, as a queer-friendly GM, my tables are always inclusive of LGBTQIA+ players and characters. In short, I’m a friendly and welcoming GM who wants to leave my players with memorable gaming experiences! I also like bow-ties.

I got started GMing...

I got started DMing because I had too many stories in my head not to share. I loved making people laugh, creating community, and telling stories that stuck with them long after the game ended.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

Friendly, imaginative, humorous

When I'm not running games I'm...

When I’m not running games, I’m acting, doing voice work, swinging swords in HEMA, or chasing a good climb outdoors! Basically anything that keeps life interesting.

How Sheradan runs games

My games are player-focused and narrative heavy, with an emphasis on stories where decisions matter and characters feel like they’re truly part of the world. I like to weave player backstories and choices into the setting so that actions have weight and consequences. So getting into character is highly encouraged (but totally optional depending on comfort). When it comes to mechanics, I’m fair and flexible. I run the rules with consistency, but I also encourage players to get creative in how they use them. If you can think outside the box and make a clever case for your idea, I’ll usually find a way to make it work. That’s where some of the most fun, cinematic moments are born. Combat at my table tends to be very challenging but rewarding. I want fights to feel tense and exciting, not just number-crunching. When you win, it feels earned. When you lose ground, it opens new story paths. Either way, the stakes matter during combat. The theater of GMing is also very important to me. Since I am a voice actor with access to my own studio, I try my best to soundscape important scenes through Foley. I try to give my players the best possible experience, and I find soundscapes really elevate the narrative experience for my players.

I deal with rule issues by staying fair and flexible. I listen to players, clarify the rules, and make decisions that keep the game fun while keeping the story moving.

My games focus on...

My games focus on meaningful choices, character growth, and ensuring everyone has fun. I love creating worlds where players’ decisions truly shape the story and everyone feels involved.

When it comes to voices

When it comes to voices, I love bringing characters to life! Big, small, silly, or sinister. My voiceover work helps me add personality and flair to every NPC, making each one memorable. I encourage everyone to embody their character and get a little silly!

Sheradan's ideal table

My table is built on fun, safety, and inclusion. Everyone should feel comfortable being themselves; queer, neurodivergent, brand-new, or veteran adventurer, you’re welcome here! I love when players bring their unique perspectives because it makes the story richer and more unpredictable. The vibe is playful and welcoming, with plenty of laughs, but I also lean into mystery, horror, and thriller elements. I love crafting tense or eerie moments where players can really drop into character, explore who they are, and let choices matter. Expect surprising twists, strange clues, and the thrill of uncovering secrets together. If I’m not running something suspenseful, you can expect a campaign that’s full of laughs! Typically in a setting full of comfort, rich fantasy towns and adventure! Rules at my table exist to support the story, not bog it down. If you like creativity, character-driven play, and collaborative storytelling, you’ll feel right at home. Above all, my priority is making sure every player feels safe, seen, and supported so the table becomes a space where you can be bold, silly, dramatic, or heartfelt without hesitation.

I am for a vibe that's...

I’m for a vibe that’s welcoming, creative, and a little spooky with equal parts laughter and goosebumps. Think golden retriever energy running a mystery, where everyone feels safe, included, and excited to dive into the story together.

I love it when a player

I love it when a player fully leans into their character. Whether that means being goofy, bold, or letting themselves get vulnerable and emotional. Those moments of honesty make the story shine and bring the table closer together.

My table is not the place for...

My table is not the place for gatekeeping, disrespect, or making others feel unsafe. It’s also not the place for rules-lawyering every roll. Fun, collaboration, and creativity matter more than nitpicking.
