About The Omnibara
Hi I am Karl, I am a long-time D&D player and DM. I adore storytelling and worldbuilding, I am an aspiring writer, striving to create a story that my players will enjoy. I am a heavy roleplay, with a strong love for character voices and distinct character personalities. I worship the rule of cool and love crafting moments that make the game feel epic and cinematic. While I respect the rules, I see them more as guidelines—if breaking them makes for a better story or a more exciting moment, I’m all for it. My main goal is to make sure everyone is having fun, immersed in the world, and invested in their characters. If you're at my table, expect deep roleplay, memorable NPCs, and plenty of chances to shine. I thrive on player creativity and unexpected twists. If you come up with a wild plan, I won’t shut it down—I’ll find a way to make it work (or at least let the dice decide). I love seeing my players surprise me just as much as I love surprising them. Whether it’s intense emotional moments, ridiculous shenanigans, or epic battles, I want every session to be something worth remembering. Beyond D&D, I’m always brainstorming new stories, characters, and worlds. Writing and character design are my passions, and I love bringing ideas to life, whether through words or art. I enjoy helping others with their characters too, so if you ever need a concept fleshed out or just want to talk shop about worldbuilding, I’m all in.

How The Omnibara runs games
I normally focus on roleplay, and storytelling. I was never the kind of person to enjoy combat, though I do love creating interesting combat encounters for my players that often have new mechanics, or just something different. Though I could probably just be classified as a World Building freak, I love world building, and it's my passion, fleshing out unique worlds for my players to craft a stroy in is really what drives me forward. Though it could be argued that world building might not actually be my strong suit, as I do think that I find that creating a complex story, with backstory hooks and exciting moments might actually be on the same level of enjoyment for me as world building.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
ME (:
My favorite trope is...
that morality is an illusion. You could be helping the king... But what about all the starving orc children in the enemy camp? You might killing a world ending threat... But isn't balance, and peace a good prize for ending all the world's suffering?
When it comes to voices
I love them, I am not frocing you to make up one, but it is always nice for a character to at least have a soft accent to flesh them out, and make them stand out.
The Omnibara's ideal table
I love hardcore roleplayers, theatre kids, and people that love DnD for the story, not the mechanics.

I love it when a player
comes up with a fleshed out character, whose backstory can be beautifully tied into the overall story.
