About me
As an avid storyteller, my entire life has been devoted to the art of writing and telling stories. Starting with my very first introduction to playing Dungeons & Dragon, I was hooked. The act of getting to tell and live collaborative stories with other individuals quickly inspired me to take on the role of being a Game Master. While I really enjoy getting to be on the "player" side of the game, my true passion lies in getting to create and populate fantastical worlds (both published and homebrew) and experience the joy from the players in my group as they interact with those creative elements.
GM Style
As a Game Master, I love a good mix of roleplay, exploration, and combat encounters. I like to use a variety of different combat tactics to provide my players with an exciting challenge that will test their character's abilities, but at the same time I will utilize a variety of Game Master tools to ensure the player characters live as far into the storyline as possible. For me as a Game Master, I believe that everyone should have fun at the table through a challenging combination of the three pillars of gameplay. I endeavor to make games that I lead accessible for players of all levels from absolute beginner to decades-long veterans. I like to add fun voices and accents when applicable and encourage my players to do the same if they choose to. While I love the challenge of designing encounters and storylines that will challenge even the most hardened veteran, I experience so much joy getting to share the love of this game with new players as I help them learn to navigate the thrilling journey of the characters they have created.

I have had the pleasure of playing with Sarah for a few years now. She puts a lot of effort into her preparation and world building, utilizing voices and sound to set the mood and bring you into the world. She is happy to work with both beginners and more seasoned players, and incorporate creative backstories into her worlds. She is open to feedback or discussion if players have any kind of issues, so if you aren't having a 100% fantastic time, speak up and she will make adjustments to get you there.

Sarah is an excellent story teller, the amount of effort and prep work she puts into her sessions sets her apart from the average game master. She works hard to help each character feel like they are part of the story and incorporates backstories seamlessly into her worlds. Games always have plenty of time for RP, which is the focus while not lacking for combat/action. Her spaces are always welcoming and safe and she is very approachable for players.

Sarah is so much fun to play with! She is always interested in what my ideas were/are for my character and gets just as excited as I am to plan out my shenanigans! Either between sessions or in the midst of the action, Sarah really does her best to help translate what I have in my head onto the tabletop even if it means thinking on her feet in the middle of the action! For example, with my Warforged Echo Knight, I wanted to play an "upgradable" character who finds and integrates various technologies into my character. She made sure there were plenty of things that I could find and use, even if some were just little trinkets since I wanted the experience of constant adaptation! Love getting to play in her games!

Sarah puts more care and effort into prep for each game than I have ever experienced before. Her passion for dnd makes every player feel welcome at the table (or screen) and easily immersed in the game world. She integrated my characters backstory seamlessly into the game (in so many way I dont understand them all yet) and we are both so stoked to see how her journey develops. I cannot recommend her enough <3
