About Roderick || Tyton Studios
Hello! I have been a DM for Dungeons and Dragons for about 10 years! I currently run 3 campaigns with friends on a live monthly meetup, and we will be streaming one very soon! I am a professional Game Master and founder of Tyton Studios. I specialize in cinematic, story-driven campaigns with strong character arcs and dramatic world events. I'm all about player experience and creating custom stories that leave a lasting impact. Everyone's character arc will continue to grow and evolve, as the story you're telling doesn't end just because you got through a major plot point. All of my content is 100% created by me, and I love to interact with the players as the NPCs, the big bads, and everything in between, as I love nothing more than immersing the players of my game in the story. We follow the standard 5e rules, with homebrew allowed as long as it is run by me and approved. I am always open to feedback, as I am constantly looking to grow as a DM for the players' sake and for my own as a storyteller. I have also created my own TTRPG that will be play-testing very soon, and if that goes well, I will be publishing my ruleset and looking to get on Kickstarter. I look forward to meeting players, their characters, and I can't wait to begin their journeys with them!

I became a GM because
It is another way to tell stories, and stories have shaped my life. Being the person who creates fantasy and adventure that people attach to and want to immerse themselves in is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
I got started GMing...
When I was 19, I took part in my first D&D campaign and realized that I loved being a part of the story. Becoming a DM and getting to shape the story for people, and continuously creating worlds and lore that I would get lost in, was the next logical and exciting step.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Writing my novels, working on the finishing touches of my own TTRPG, and being a dad to the coolest kids in the world.
How Roderick || Tyton Studios runs games
Players can expect an immersive experience, where the atmosphere is built around the players and scenarios in which they find themselves. I love creating characters that the party remembers and wants to interact with more than once. Anyone taking part in a game with me as the DM can expect an overarching story filled with side quests, dungeons and explorations created to keep the players on their toes. These dungeons will have riddles, puzzles, and combat that will test your characters limits. Not every battle will be one that has you begging for a long rest, but the world is a dangerous place for adventurers, and the story and encounters will reflect that sentiment.
Roderick || Tyton Studios's ideal table
My ideal table communicates with each other without trying to outdo other players. My best experiences within D&D have been with people I can laugh and bend the rules with. The game should be taken seriously when it needs to to respect the other players and the work the DM put into creating the session, but a table where players can bounce ideas off each other in a comfortable way is an ideal situation for myself.
