About Rob the Robber
Welcome Adventures; old and new! My name is Robert and I will be your Dungeon Master; here to bring any story to life; filled with excitement and adventure. With a passion for creating elaborate worlds and settings for all adventures to explore; I craft every session to ensure that you and your party embark on thrilling adventures filled with rich narratives, tactical combat, and moments of pure fun (with sprinkles on input from the players so they can feel like they are more than just walking in their characters footsteps; they are helping shape and mold the world around them.) When you join one of my games, you'll gain access to a **private Discord server** where you and your fellow adventurers can engage throughout the week. I’m always active and available, guaranteeing timely responses and thorough server management to create a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment. I take pride in creating unforgettable gaming experiences, and I'm excited to bring you into the fold. Be sure to check out our reviews to see what others have loved about their journeys with me. Ever since I starting DMing, my mind has been running 24/7 on new game ideas, character backstories, magic items for adventures to use, and figuring how it all connects; and I would love to share the creative process with you. I'm a huge fan of homebrewing and I love to collaborate with others to help create the best content for everyone to use. And if you have something you want to bring in the game; I will welcome it with open arms! So what are you waiting for? Let the dice roll, create lasting memories, and let the odds be ever in your favor! Hope you are ready for your next great adventure!

I got started GMing...
By spending my summer vacation in college (3 months) making a whole thumb drive of characters from the 2014 Players Handbook, and made my first campaign within 4-5 months to my first gaming group.
My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
Dungeons and Dragons Pokemon Tabletop United Pathfinder
How Rob the Robber runs games
My Gm style is a mix of story driven plot, with detailed visuals of worldbuilding with the occasional character voices here and there. The one I do for my games it have the players to be apart of the creating process (where it be helping name a random NPC or naming a village or location), just to help them feel like they are help creating the world they will be playing in; and create to great memories in battle. Speaking of battle; I implement a Critical Failure rule; whether a character crit failed on a melee, ranged, or spell attack (both Player and NPC), have to roll for the outcome and suffer the consequences. But we have fun here, and I and will not try to kill any character; if it happens It was a total accident lol.

I deal with rules issues by...
looking up the rules to see what the rule actually states, and/or look online on thread posts to see if others had the same issue and go from there. I also consult my expert players for a second opinion to help with my understanding of the rules and then make a decision once I have all the data.
I prep by
having my games be 60% planned, 30% improvised (for whenever the party derails the story or game), and 10% playing games when I ask them to name a NPC/Town or wait for them to say something and then I will use what they said against them in the game.
My games focus on...
giving a memorable experience that everyone can enjoy and want to return to every week.
Rob the Robber's ideal table
My games are fun and very interactive. I keep it engaging and very relax in terms of allowing homebrew or creativity to be explored from others. I do my best to listen to everyone and make sure that even though you let a lot work out; I strive to focus on game balancing and doing the best to make the game fair and playable for other players. I'm very punctual and on time. I patience for others when they have questions and I try to help with the players character development, character leveling and helping the participants decide where they wanna go with their characters.

I love it when a player
accidentally says something or suggests something to the DM. Its perfect bait to use whatever the players say as tools against them in my games (inset maniacal laugh here).
My perfect party mix is
a general mix of a few expert players, a few medium level players and a few beginner level players. Each one helping each other out and we all learn something new about the games and encourage everyone to do their best.
