About Reckesly
Hi, I’m Reckesly, a Chilean Game Master who fell in love with Dungeons & Dragons back in 2013. What began as a passion for fantasy, storytelling, and collaborative play quickly became a huge part of my life, and I’ve been involved in tabletop roleplaying ever since. In 2019, I decided to step behind the screen and begin my journey as a Game Master. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of building memorable adventures and unforgettable stories alongside my players. GMing has become more than a hobby for me, it’s a creative space where I can bring worlds to life, help players shine, and create experiences that stay with the table long after the session ends. My longest-running campaign is set in my homebrew world, Ummo, which has been ongoing for five years since 2021. It has grown into a living world shaped by the choices, triumphs, and failures of the players who have adventured through it, and I hope to continue expanding it for many years to come. Outside of the table, I’m deeply inspired by fantasy literature. Some of my favorite works are Dune and A Song of Ice and Fire, both of which have influenced the way I think about worldbuilding, conflict, and memorable characters.

I got started GMing...
I got started GMing in 2019. I wanted to know what it felt like to be on the other side of the screen, and ever since then, I haven’t been able to imagine a reality where I’m not creating worlds, characters, and adventures for my own enjoyment and for that of my players.
How Reckesly runs games
My GMing style is story-driven, collaborative, and player-focused. I care deeply about creating a table where everyone feels comfortable, engaged, and excited to contribute, whether they are completely new to tabletop RPGs or long-time experienced players I put a lot of emphasis on roleplay, character-driven storytelling, and world immersion. I love weaving player backstories into the larger narrative so that each character feels connected to the world in a meaningful way. For me, the best campaigns are the ones where player choices matter, relationships evolve naturally, and the world feels alive both on and off the screen At the table, I come prepared and aim to deliver sessions that feel polished, dynamic, and memorable. I enjoy building living worlds, creating distinct NPCs with their own voices, motivations, and personalities, and adapting to unexpected player decisions through improvisation when needed. Even when things go off-script, I work to turn those moments into meaningful parts of the story rather than interruptions My games usually balance roleplay, exploration, and combat, with room for both tactical thinking and cinematic moments. I respect the rules and use them as a strong foundation, but I also appreciate a healthy amount of rule of cool when it helps create exciting, memorable scenes without undermining the game
Reckesly's ideal table
My table is a welcoming space where roleplay, exploration, and combat are all given room to shine. I like to strike a balance between tactical thinking and cinematic moments, using the rules as a strong foundation while still leaving room for a healthy dose of rule of cool when it helps create exciting, memorable scenes without taking away from the game. Both new and experienced players fit well at my table, as long as they come with a willingness to participate and engage with the story. The general vibe is always one of respect, collaboration, and fun.

I love it when a player
I love it when a player gets creative and comes up with unexpected ideas that make the game more dynamic. I also love it when they roleplay their character consistently and take an active part in the session.
