I got started GMing...
My friends & I wanted to try out Dungeons and Dragons, but Pathfinder 1e was free and available, so one of us (me) decided to bite the bullet and run the game. I've been hooked ever since, and all my other pursuits end up rolling back into my wish to provide an excellent tabletop gaming experience.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Developing my skills as an illustrator and a writer, focusing on character & creature design, character-driven stories, and developing my YouTube channel "Legendlore" where I help DM's develop new and interesting ways to portray old-school characters from D&D canon and explore other games.
How Legend runs games
A focus on short but punchy campaigns and one-shots: think adventures like Red Hand of Doom and The Delian Tomb. My games take on one of two focuses with some game examples: - OSR-inspired adventures with realistic danger and a focus on creative thinking (Shadowdark, EZD6, or Mork Borg) - Heroic fantasy adventures with heavier combat or role-play based on player buy-in (D&D, Pathfinder, Draw Steel).

I love it when a player
Develops their character's presence in the world, either by creating strongholds, guilds, organizations, or working their way into the politics of the setting.
I think metagaming...
Is appropriate only when not-metagaming would cause the game to slow down, be less fun, or actively impede the progression of a plot or story. Beyond that, metagaming only serves to break immersion and should be done as little as possible.
My table is not the place for...
Bigots, people with prejudiced beliefs such as homophobia, racism, or sexism, and people who only engage when their character is in the spotlight. We all deserve to have fun and work collaboratively for an interesting and engaging game!
