About Peggy

As a child, I'd always grown up wanting to play games like Dungeons and Dragons, wanting to play as somebody else and tell fantastical stories. To explore a world of magic and wonder. Sadly, my hometown didn't offer many chances to do such things. When I finally got the chance to experience it, I knew it was what I had been missing. Knowing just how much games like Dungeons and Dragons have completely changed my life, I want to offer that to other people. I want to create a safe place where my players and I can all tell amazing, captivating stories, and hopefully change some lives.

How Peggy runs games

As a GM, I like to focus on creating an engaging story and working closely with my players to make them feel personally connected with it I like to focus on the aspects my players find interesting in the world and flesh those out to keep people interested and excited for each and every session I also design my combat around plot relevance and interesting mechanics rather than being number crunching slogfests. I like quick, fast and punchy action that utilises out of the box thinking

I deal with rules issues by...

laying out the concern, giving each player a chance to voice their concerns and ideas, and decide on what will be best for everybody involved

My games focus on...

roleplay, morality and choice

Rules are...

guidelines, not the law

Peggy's ideal table

A group of people excited to play and engage with the world; willing to be open with myself and the party so we can all understand one another and figure out what story we want to tell as a group It's also important to have a balance of humour and seriousness. I love jokes and for humour to show up in my games, so long as players are willing to tone it down when the story and atmosphere requires it

I think it's a red flag when players...

want to 'win' D&D, or any person involved in D&D wants to win. We're a team, not enemies

I think metagaming...

can be useful, when done right. Metagame to create fun interactions and stories, not to 'win'

I think min/maxing...

has a place. I think so long as the DM and all players are in agreement, then anything is okay. Min/maxing is fine so long as the group is okay with it
