About Jorge Espinoza

Hello, I'm PanDulce or you can just call me Bread. I started playing Dungeons and Dragons with my brother on scraps of paper back in 2008. Now I have over 7 years of experience as a GM. Most recently I ran a successful campaign at my local library where I work (support your library!). I love ttrpgs because they allow for me to not only share my stories, but to connect and hear stories from all of my players. Growing up on the spectrum was never easy for me, but playing games let me escape into worlds where I had power and where I made a difference. I want all of my players to accompany me to these worlds and to share in all the fun and friendships there is to have when we connect.

I became a GM because

I get to tell people's stories. As a player it's fun having your characters grow and become who you wanted them to be. But I also know having a bad GM means sometimes your characters are second to their worlds. I'm here to work with you so that both our stories come to light.

at the library! My full time job is running programs at my local library. It's kind of a dream job since it lets me be as creative as possible and I get to rent all of the official D&D books for free!

How Jorge Espinoza runs games

I run D&D 5e with some homebrew rules in order to make each session more engaging. Here are some things you can expect with me as your GM... At my table you're not just a player rolling for your character, you ARE your character. Roleplaying is a big part of my table and I encourage you to bring your character to life with conversation, passion, even (sometimes embarrassing) accents. Combat is tweaked a bit to avoid combat that grows stale and boring. Some enemies are tweaked to avoid metagaming and combat scenarios are much more dynamic at my table. I let my gaming influences shine and I hope you enjoy what I bring to the table. My own campaigns are filled with plenty of loot and opportunities for glory. Bring your characters and your stories and let's adventure together!

I deal with rules issues by...

ruling in the party's favor... at first. I don't get hung up on rules too much Rule of cool! If I do have any issues I'll always seek a middle ground with my players so that rules are challenging but ultimately fun.

My favorite trope is...

the recurring comedic NPC. I love comedy and I love a good funny NPC that the party grows to love too. I even had a party try to adopt a goblin merchant once!
