About NickNes
I have played roleplaying games (mostly D&D) for 7 years, and began GMing after 1 year. I love sci-fi and fantasy worlds, and exploring different magic systems, but the most important game element to me is rich storytelling. In my free time I love playing board games, videogames--my current favorite is Silksong and of course roleplaying games. I love cats and dogs, and binging good tv or movies. I also work in tech so I can help with tech issues that arise.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
D&D because it was the first system I GMed, Dread because I love the horror elements it creates, and probably Mothership which I haven't played but really want to
My favorite shows/movies are
Firefly, Doctor Who, Alien Franchise, Code Lyoko, Primer, or other movies with time travel elements
When I'm not running games I'm...
Doing a normal 9-5, watching TV, playing video games, or playing board games
How NickNes runs games
I love to have as high stakes roleplay as high stakes combat that then impacts that story and roleplay. To me a full complete story is the thing that I like to deliver most. The rules are there to make it a game but the story is there to make it an experience and something to remember.

My games focus on...
Story, narrative and impactful roleplay first
When it comes to voices
I try, sometimes they are good and other times... well I tried
NickNes's ideal table
The type of players that would fit well at my table are ones that love story and roleplay but still want a combat that matters. The vibes are serious and silly.

I love it when a player
Surprises me with a bold character choice
I think metagaming...
Will be needed in some cases, its important to have fun and if we need to have a little metagaming to get to the fun faster then I am for it
