I got started GMing...
Whenever my friends wanted to play, but we didn't have a GM. Ever since then, I have much preferred being a GM. I put a lot of emotions into GMing, meaning my stories are usually thought out and appealing to many audiences.
My favorite shows/movies are
1. peacemaker (obviously) 2. gravity falls 3. idiocrasy these are my favorite shows/ movies for various reasons, mostly for their stories and, (especially for the top two), their emotional stakes.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Starting my own entertainment business! I will one day do this in-person! I also do scare acting during October, and post youtube videos on the regular, some even about D&D.
How Nathan runs games
I usually play roleplay-heavy, overpowered players (not set in stone), overpowered enemies (also not set in stone), usually no grounded stories (as in very big fantastical fights, world-ending threats), and I usually play from level 8-18. I am also slack with rules and things, I would let you do some crazy things (as long as they were fair and not game-ruining).

I deal with rules issues by...
determining how this would effect the other players, and then how this would effect the game. It usually depends on my own rules, and the players I am dming for.
My games focus on...
The story. If it doesn't make that much sense to let someone use the help action, but it'd make for a dramatic and/or heart-felt moment, I would let it happen!
When it comes to voices
I love to do them. I cannot run a session without at least doing one character's voice differently.
Nathan's ideal table
My table is usually roleplay heavy and player-oriented. I enjoy the game most whenever my players are enjoying themselves. Most of all, I like a good story to tell my players! Don't be afraid to pour into your backstory!

I love it when a player
writes a well-thought out backstory for their character(s). It always bums me out a little whenever a player only cares for their race and class, especially whenever that same player actually tries to roleplay.
I think metagaming...
is tricky. It's impossible to avoid this problem, however it is absolutely possible to fix it. The easiest fix for me/my party is to feign ignorance, or suspend a little disbelief. Think about it like this: it isn't necessary to have horror movie characters trip constantly, but it is dramatic
My perfect party mix is
somewhat polarizing. I like it whenever my players have characters with different morals, different races, and especially different thought processes. It pains me to see players that always agree on every little thing, no matter how incompetent that may sound.
