About Robert Trager III

Hey, friends! I've been a nerdy TTRPG enthusiast for just over 2 decades now and I want to share my love for gaming with everyone. My favorite parts of the game are both when players start laughing out loud, usually after some very silly roleplaying and voice acting from my part, or when they scream at the end of a very intense battle against a hated enemy. I guess it reflects my game style: silly and humourous when stakes are low, but challenging and intense when the stakes are high. As an experienced DM, I am ready to play any adventure from the books, but I am also able to customize them to our needs. I especially invest in adjusting to the player character backstories and player expectations. Besides that, if players are interested, I can offer games in universes and settings I created by my own and I am open to have players help me create. Both veterans and newbies are welcome. It is always great to introduce the game to new folk. I thrive to hear that they want to play more at the end of the session. If you are a veteran, either if you are searching for something new or to be challenged, I got you covered. I love homebrewing different aspects of the game, to keep it exciting and terribly dangerous.

How Robert Trager III runs games

- I do voices (poorly) to help liven the NPC experience - I try to maintain the suspension of disbelief. Realism is not important, immersion is. - I customize the game and rules for the experience and tone desired - I offer tactical and challenging combat when the story demands it. But sometimes it is good to kick some butt without having to worry about dying - I create light hearted situations and NPCs. It is good to laugh between two tense scenes - I know the rules. Less time discussing them, easy to help beginners and makes it easier to judge when a rule can be ignored/changed in favor of fun - I am always prepared and on time. Great GM improvisation only happens after a long preparation - I use Roll20 macros and token buttons to help streamline quite a bit of the game. - I am available on discord off game hours. Love to discuss our games and I can help with questions
