About Mexemilion
Hey there! I’m ✨Max✨, and I’ve been a DM for almost 10 years, running games for friends, family, and well everything in between. My go to system is Dungeons & Dragons, but I also love diving into other stuff like Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk, and more. My first rule as a DM: we’re here to have fun. It’s a game, after all! 🎲 At my tables everyone is welcome. LGBTQ+ players 🌈, newcomers, and anyone who just wants to roll dice and tell stories together. Let’s create something unforgettable!

I became a GM because
I’ve always loved telling stories and playing board games, so it’s no surprise that the moment I discovered TTRPGs, I jumped straight into being a GM and never looked back.
I got started GMing...
when I started studying. My then unknown fellow students and I just wanted to give it a try. Now, eight years later, we have tons of TTRPG experience and it’s made us all close friends.
My favorite shows/movies are
I love Game of Thrones for its outstanding character growth and worldbuilding. True Detective nails mystery and tension like nothing else. And Dune? It flips the whole “chosen one” thing in such a unique and mind-blowing way.
How Mexemilion runs games
My games lean heavily into roleplay and storytelling. I love seeing characters come to life through their choices, relationships, and growth. That said, I’m not strict about staying in character every second. Out of character jokes and chatter are totally fine as long as they don’t break the overall immersion. When it comes to combat, I like to keep things quick, tense, and meaningful. Every fight should feel like it matters! Dangerous, but exciting. Most battles can be avoided or escaped, so players always have options beyond swinging a sword.

My games focus on...
having fun! No matter if it’s an epic fight, a clever stealth mission, or a heartfelt roleplay scene. My goal is to keep it fun and engaging. Even in defeat, there’s always a story to tell and a laugh to share!
Rules are...
there to be broken
When it comes to voices
I put my all into bringing every NPC to life with a unique personality and voice. Sometimes the differences are subtle, other times they’re delightfully exaggerated.
Mexemilion's ideal table
I love when players truly immerse themselves in the story and their characters, taking initiative and shaping the world around them instead of just watching it happen. That said, my tables are always filled with laughter and good vibes. Everyone’s free to crack a joke out of character, chat during breaks, and enjoy the session like a casual game night with friends!

I love it when a player
I love when players come up with their own ideas for how their character might grow, how past events have shaped them or what personal subplots they’d like to explore. That said, good players make their own characters shine, but the best players help others shine too.
I think it's a red flag when players...
always steal the spotlight rather than share it. Don’t tell others what to do, let everyone have their own moments to shine! Support your fellow adventurers, cheer them on, and help them engage with the story and each other.
I think metagaming...
can be boring and often gets in the way of storytelling. I know it’s hard to forget what we know about monsters and lore, but trust me, it’s worth trying! It’s so much more exciting when your character sees a beholder for the first time and has no idea what that strange floating creature can do.
