About Maggie

Hello! I'm Maggie, and I've been playing TTRPGs for 7 years and GMing for the past 2. I primarily run Pathfinder 2e, but I also enjoy dabbling in games like Daggerheart, Dungeons and Kittens, and recently, 13 Omens.

I ran my first game...

A few years ago for some friends because I wanted to see what it was like from the GM's side and be able to sympathize with my GM friends. Turns out, I liked it even more than playing a character!

My favorite system of all Time is

Pathfinder 2e! I love the -10/+10 degree of success system and how there's a rule for almost everything. It gives me so many tools to work with while still leaving plenty of room for creativity.

When I'm not running games I'm...

Probably preparing for another one, or keeping up with my many PbP games!

How Maggie runs games

Featured Prompts

My games focus on...

Roleplay, but with plenty of combat still! I love giving players room to develop their characters, but I also love throwing a good encounter at them. I aim for a balance of meaningful roleplay and exciting combat.

Rules are...

Important, but they're not law. I like to know the rules and use them as a foundation, but I'm always willing to bend them when it makes for a more fun or memorable game.

When it comes to voices

I get a little self-conscious, but I still do my best to make NPCs distinguishable through their mannerisms, speech patterns, personalities, and they way they interact with the party.

Maggie's ideal table

Featured Prompts

I am for a vibe that's...

Casual and lighthearted, even with a darker storyline. I think a little humor can make the serious moments hit even harder, but too much of a good thing can still a bad thing. The humor should complement the story, not take away from those serious moments.

I love it when a player

Gets invested in the story and their character's development! Seeing players get excited about where their character is going, form connections with the world, and get genuinely invested in the story is my favorite parts of GMing.

I think min/maxing...

Should generally be avoided. I want players to feel free to build characters that are strong and effective, but I prefer when character choices are also made with the character and story in mind rather than purely for optimization.
