About Lorcaster
My name is Lorcaster and I've been hosting D&d for over 15 years. I specialize in 5e, homebrew, and bit of lancer. The games I host are focused on player fantasy, hosting worlds full of mysteries and wonders, And incorporating as much fun stuff as I possibly can. I'm versed in the rule set of fifth edition, but prefer to play a little looser. rule of cool focused.

When I'm not running games I'm...
I'm an artist and amateur gamedev. Though as of right now. I am hard focusing on improving my art.
How Lorcaster runs games
My game style is focused heavily on player fantasy, And enjoying the game. I don't tend to follow the rules very closely when they get in the way of fun. I prefer to make combat as engaging as I can without being frustrating. I focus on the stories the players want to tell, And trying to enable them as much as possible. I've almost exclusively hosted Homebrew. And I'm rather used to it.

I deal with rules issues by...
If a rule is getting the way of the fun or the flow of the game, I will simply ignore it, And worry about it Later. I try to support my players and especially when it comes to fulfilling the fun of the game. I think the rules don't need apply always.
My favorite trope is...
I like to use tropes as a baseboard for create a characters and scenarios. specifically my methodology involves identifying a Trope that fits The situation adequately and then twisting it to add interest. I find a lot of fun things through this method both in characters and scenarios.
My games focus on...
My games heavily focused on the players stories and the world that they are in. I try my best to give the players plenty of things to explore, plenty of places to fulfill their character arcs, and enjoy the world and game.
Lorcaster's ideal table
My table is inclusive and generally focused on fun easy going D&D. I have a lot of experience bringing new players into the hobby and balancing both new and old players in the same game. I tend to get a little goofy and I would like my players to be a little goofy too. I am not offended with memes being posted during session or people making jokes even if it cuts into dramatic tension.

I am for a vibe that's...
I like to maintain a chill hangout vibe for my sessions and only really like to force attention if something plot important or game deciding is taking place. That being said I do request players respect both me and the other players time when it comes to potential game side distractions.
I love it when a player
I get a lot of enjoyment out of watching players fully engage with each other through their characters and watching character chemistry come to life.
I think min/maxing...
My games are not a good place for min-maxing. I don't design around it and I would prefer players not do it. primarily because if one player starts, other players will be pressured into changing their play, and I don't want that.
