I have so many ideas for stories but I struggle with writing to the length of a book or a novel, so DnD gives me that perfect outlet.

As no one else in my friend group wanted to so I said I'll take a crack at it and absolutely fell in love and haven't looked back since.

How Jack runs games

I enjoy nothing more than sitting back and letting players RP their hearts out, I will do my best to create the perfect scenario for the party at any time to stop and just talk, it's so rewarding to me. But I also love players exploring and finding new parts of the world and I'm a huge fan of dramatic and exciting combats and fights! I also really enjoy giving players downtime and working together on downtime mechanics like creating magical jewellery and potions.

I deal with rules issues by...

Once I've made a ruling and if there is an issue with it I'll make a note of it and it'll be one of the things we discuss in our aftercare of the session, but i don't like to dwell on rulings during a game.

My games focus on...

The players. They are the focus, I will give my players all the time in the world to talk and roleplay to their hearts desire. I'm simply here to give you that opportunity.

Rules are...

A guideline for me to use, I will defer from them or use them to create new ones, as long as all players are on board.

Jack's ideal table

I'd like to think most players could fit at my tables but especially those who love and really get into RP and also allow time for others to RP, I like to let the games breathe and take time rather than rushing through things. The vibe I go for is one where we're comfortable enough to crack jokes and have fun but can also lock in and either go into a serious fight or RP.

Almost like a family, I really want to players to come together and for them to care about each other and their characters, to be interested in exploring everyone's backstory. They can chat together, laugh together, fight together and even bicker together, but at the end of it they all come together

Wants to learn more about the world and explore it, and finds intrigue and interest in a place mentioned or an NPC seen.

I think min/maxing...

Absolutely fine, 100% go for it, as long as you give as much effort to who the character is as you do to their stat blocks.
