About Just JJ
Hello! I am JJ, I am a GM who primarily run D&D, however I'm familiar with Call of Cthulhu, City of Mist, and VtM. I started with running pre-made modules in 2020 during lockdown, myself and friends wanted to connect and none of us knew how to play so I took the torch and learned to DM. From there I hosted one shots, and modules until I understood what I was doing, and with the support of my players I began to write my own campaigns. Since then I've GM'd a few TTRPGs and hosted over 20 games some of which are still going! I've been in school for theater and it has done nothing but teach me more skills to apply to these games. To top this off I will have been a GM for 6 years this coming august!

How Just JJ runs games
My GM Style is a mix usually based on what the table needs, but I almost always lean towards roleplay and narrative focused campaigns. I love writing with the intention of my players telling the story, really allowing them to drive where the plot goes. I am very heavy on rule of cool and I like to ignore rules that I find slow down the game, that being said however, I also am fairly strict on homebrewed classes unless I can work very close with the player on balancing. (I've simply had too many cases of "Check out this class I found on Pinterest!" that makes the other party members feel left out) Homebrew is still loved at my table despite this and I always try to give my players a special somethin designed for just them!

Just JJ's ideal table
I love roleplay lovers and improv heavy sessions! I like the vibe of my table to be very invested in the game, but fear not if you are new or not comfortable being "in character" the whole time I always will have a seat open and I encourage all players to focus on uplifting each other at the table!

I think metagaming has limits, ofc I'm not gunna stop above the table talk but if the party is taking 10 min to plan an attack without any character interactions... I wont be mad but I will give a DM side eye...
