About Lermu
Hi there, I am Lermu! I am an avid D&D fan and I love world building. I have found that the best way to do that is to let the players shape the world they live in. I design worlds with a certain starting point and some vague direction for it to go, but let players make the ultimate decision. I have experience both as a player and as a DM. I love roleplaying and I hope to find other people who feel the same. I let myself dive deep into most of the things I do, and I will do my very best to deliver an enjoyable experience to my players.

I got started GMing...
When I first learned about DnD in 2023. I studied the game a bit, watched the Smosh Sword AF campaign 1, and immediately forced my friends to play. I have since ran a few One-Shots here and there trying to find my own way of doing things in the progress.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Planning the next one. Or building a world. And those are things I do whenever I am doing anything else. I am thinking about possible tropes and adventures while shopping, brushing teeth, gaming, exercising, eating, etc.
How Lermu runs games
I love roleplaying and like to think of it as the main point in my games. Everything else in the game goes through roleplaying (Combat, travel, mysteries, etc.). I want my games to have an impact and real stakes. Everything is possible at my table. My ultimate goal as a DM is to make someone cry at my table out of pure emotional impact. I want to keep the table clear of overabundant sexual content. This is not the place for that, since I want all of my players to feel comfortable. You can expect a lot of freedom. I have spent countless hours reading and learning the game rules and systems. Regardless, I like running things the way I feel good running them. I use the rule of cool. If you find a sensible way to defeat the BBEG by singing Gangnam Style to them, I will allow it. As said, I build a world and the state for it. There are events and wars and all sorts of things happening in the world and you as the player are free to roam it, shaping your own story and adventure in the progress.

I once ran a session...
literally out of the blue one night while on a call with friends on Discord. I found out about Discord's Roll20 activity and noticed a random oneshot on there. Decided to force my friends to quickly roll up characters and many hours later we all had had fun and now had a story to tell.
My games focus on...
having fun. If even one person is not having fun, I will do my best to change that. For me, D&D is nearly synonymous with fun.
Lermu's ideal table
My table is welcoming and a chill place. I don't want any single one of my players to feel left out or uncomfortable. That also means that I must demand that from my players as well. My table is a place my players want to be at. The only people I see not fitting at my table, are the ones who don't want to fit in with other people.

I love it when a player
asks me if they can do something completely nonsensical. I love the moments when a player manages to end an encounter with pure creativity.
I think it's a red flag when players...
lie or cheat. Cheating takes all the fun away from the game. If the stakes aren't real, neither is the fun.
