About me

Hey there, DM for over 20 years here looking to share my love of ttrpgs with many. I can run a wide variety of systems and tones. Looking for D&D 5e or Pathfinder? Easy. Looking to run Hero System 5th ed or Deathwatch? Got that and plenty more covered. Want an epic quest with deep character drama? I've run those. Looking for a game that is a bit less serious? Your angsty warlock can get their goth clothes at Fantasy Hot Topic. In my literal decades of time running games I have done all sorts of systems, stories, and styles and can match just about anything any group could want.

GM Style

Enjoy a lot of world building and roleplay. I love to work in player character backstories and plot hooks into a setting. You actions will have consequences and your choices will matter. When it comes to combat I don't intend it to require my players optimize every turn, or even round. I aim more for fair fights that can be handled easily enough as long as players don't fully turn off their brain.

Chris was very knowledgeable about the rules and patient with us beginner players. Chris set the scene with good descriptions yet allowed the players to contribute to the setting with their own ideas when appropriate. Overall, Chris is a really nice person, a great GM, and I would recommend to anyone interested in World of Darkness, especially newcomers!

Played 3 sessions

So far, we have played one session together and it went well. As there was an element of session 0 sort of prep, I can feel confident in commenting on the fact that we did have those discussions and I felt comfortable that boundaries would be respected and things would be checked in on to insure things went smoothly. We refined character concepts and good feedback was given in the process, so I do feel that, if someone was new, they would find the environment supportive of it. I do not currently feel comfortable in giving firm opinions on the flow of sessions but I can say that the character was created on short notice and a reasonably smooth game was run, so there is some skill in that department. This will likely be updated to be more useful as we continue to play together.

I've been part of the many different games he's organized in my local area. Very good at handling builds that are outside the normal. We've run various editions of D&D, Pathfinder, Mutants and Masterminds, and Hero system. Also, be careful of some of the accidental encounter ideas you might come up with. During a 4th ed campaign, we joked about a Mecha Kraken out in the ocean and when we least expected it, he sprung it on us a year and a half later.
